Jay Rice is a transformative leader with over 20 years of experience spanning education, non-profit leadership, community service, philanthropy, public health, and HIV counseling. A passionate advocate for service, Jay's career has been a testament to his unwavering commitment to uplifting individuals and communities.
From 2018 to 2024, Jay proudly served as a Volunteer Firefighter with the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department, further exemplifying his dedication to community safety. At a young age, Jay embraced his mission to serve others, guided by a philosophy of compassionate, customer-focused care rooted in his personal core values.
In 2016, Jay founded Pioneer Medical Training Center, a school designed to empower low-income individuals to begin meaningful careers in the medical field as Medical Assistants and Phlebotomists. Pioneer offered a range of programs, including phlebotomy and triage refresher training, as well as workshops on professional development. While the school was closed indefinitely in 2021 due to the challenges of COVID-19, its impact continues to inspire those it served.
In 2024, driven by a deep understanding of the need for quality patient care and a passion for equipping medical professionals for success, Jay launched Next Legacy Healthcare Consulting Firm. The firm's mission is to empower healthcare teams through tailored training programs that promote professional growth, align with organizational values, and ensure regulatory compliance. With a focus on operational efficiency and sustainable growth, Next Legacy delivers customized solutions designed to drive excellence.
Jay’s personal philosophy is encapsulated in his guiding motto:
"We are all students of life. From age 3 to 93, we should never stop learning. Everything we learn, whether good or bad, equips us to be teachers to the next generation. Life is a curriculum designed to help us learn, transform, and pass on our knowledge. As Ben Franklin said, ‘Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.’ That is the heart of what we do at Next Legacy. I’ll see you at work."
